Book Week 2019 - “Reading Is My Secret Power”

28.08.19

This year’s Book Week Parade was amazing! Each year I think, “We can’t top this one” but, this year was fantastic!

The theme “Reading is my Secret Power” encouraged everyone to let their imaginations run wild and dress up in some great costumes - from super heroes to villains and from book characters to larger than life movie heroes.

The day continued with classroom activities after recess. Students read books from the Children’s Book Council of Australia shortlist and had fun making craft and art projects to go with them.

In the afternoon, Library Staff presented the winners of the Book Week Competition at the Junior School Assembly who were: Piper, Anna, Charlie, Hudson, Adelaide, Lauren, Jess, Banjo, Louise and Meah.

Congratulations to all and a great effort from everyone who entered.
