Council Chambers commandeered by Year 4 Students

04.07.19

On Wednesday 26 June, the Year 4 classes went to the Council Chambers to
learn more about our Local Government.

The classes met with Mayor Lynette Martin who shared with them what her role
is on the Council and the important decisions the Council makes.

The students also went on a tour around the Council to have a look at how things work. They learnt more about how the records are stored and what the Council are doing to become more sustainable.

This was a great experience and linked with our current HASS unit on Local Government and its people.
