New Year 9 Poplars immersion initiative

06.06.19

In a brand new initiative with the Year 9 cohort, Term 2 has seen one home
group each week spend their Pastoral Care lesson in the Poplars area of
Tenison Woods College.

The Year 9 students have been working with the junior, middle and secondary groups in the Poplars Inclusive Education area, undertaking a whole range of activities including puzzles, reading stories and scavenger hunts.

This program is built around the Tenison Woods College SHINE emphasis and highlights our strong desire to;

S – be Successful,
H – Help others,
I – become Involved,
N – know others by Name
E – enjoy positive Emotions!
Brad Maney | HPE Teacher & Year 9 Wellbeing Coordinator

Tenison Woods College respectfully acknowledges the Boandik people are the First Nations people of the Mount Gambier South Eastern region of South Australia and pay respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, past, present and emerging.
