Subject Description

In the Year 7 AFLW Academy, students are introduced to the foundational skills of Australian Rules Football (AFLW), with an emphasis on participation and enjoyment. The course provides opportunities for students to develop and apply positive personal and social skills, fostering respectful relationships while promoting fair play, resilience, and inclusivity.

A key component of the program is the development of fundamental movement patterns, which are essential for success in AFLW and other sports. These movement patterns include running, jumping, catching, and kicking, forming the basis for more advanced skills.
