Students will deconstruct various literary texts, honing their reading, writing, discussion, and argumentation skills. The curriculum includes poetry, novels, films, persuasive texts, advertising, media, articles, song lyrics, biographies, and graphics.
By the end of Year 10, students will be able to produce clear, effective communication in diverse forms and styles. They will also learn to engage with, respond to, and critique different text types. This foundation will prepare them for SACE-level expectations, enabling them to choose the most suitable English Pathway for Stage 1 (Year 11).
