Subject Description

Year 10 Agriculture 

At the conclusion of a semester students will gain vital knowledge of the Agricultural Industry with learning tasks providing an insight into Stage 1 SACE. Learning & assessments are established to provide knowledge of the requirements for SACE.

Successful completion of Year 9 Agriculture is recommended.

Content

In Year 10 Agriculture topics continue a focus on OHS, Animal Behaviour & Design principles.

Students will investigate in greater depth animal husbandry including animal health, the importance of genetics & physiology of production animals.

  • Practical participation in hands on learning through anatomy identification on live species & dissection tasks
  • Theoretical tasks

Stage 1 Agriculture 

Additional Costs

Cost: $100.00 per year for course and training materials. $85.00 Uniform fee which becomes the property of the student (this is an approximate cost and will be adjusted accordingly). Suitable sturdy shoes are mandatory. Additional costs may be required for extended learning excursions.
