Subject Description

Students will be involved in three practical explorations, one personal venture, and one connections experience.

This flexible course permits individual students to develop further skills and knowledge in their chosen passion through involvement in both their school and club environments.

 

Content

Students undertake skill development and reflection by engaging in three practical activities, focusing on learning progress and linking experiences to capabilities.

They are provided opportunities to specialize in aspects of sport/physical activity that interest them: planning, implementing, and reflecting on a community-based program and designing and implementing an individual program based on SMART goals with industry professional guidance.

Assessment

Practical Exploration (40%)

  • Engage in 3 practical activities (such as team sport, individual sport) with a focus on reflecting on their learning and progress linking to the capabilities.

Connections (30%)

  • Students plan, implement and reflect on a community based program (example: year 6/7 interschool netball event).

Personal Endeavor (30%) - External

  • Students investigate, design and implement an individual program based on SMART goals with formal advice from a professional in the industry
