Material Products (Metal)

Matetrial Products is the subject area where you are able to integrate materials and systems to create functional multi-faceted products. All activities in this course aid the students ability to apply knowledge and understanding of how to use hand-tools and operate basic workshop equipment and machinery.

Gas welding is revisited with the introduction of Braze welding and basic forging techniques. Students will then be introduced to MIG welding and create a major project which integrates steel and wood and/or plastic.
