Subject Description

Child Studies A

Students in this course will get the opportunity to explore the topics of pregnancy and childbirth, childhood health, nutrition, safety, toddler nutrition, quilt construction and book making.

These topics will provide the students with a look into the world of infancy and motherhood, and how we can help raise children in a safe and healthy way.

Content

By the end of the course students will be able to:

  • Make action plans
  • Understand pregnancy and childbirth
  • Understand childhood Health and Safety
  • Understand toddler nutrition
  • Construct a cot quilt
  • Construct a busy book
Assessment

Assessment in this course will consist of various practical tasks and theory assignments from the previously mentioned topics.
