Subject Description

Framing for Construction

Framing for Construction is the subject area where you are able to integrate materials and systems to create functional multi-faceted products. All activities in this course aid the students ability to apply knowledge and understanding of how to use hand-tools and operate basic workshop equipment and machinery.

This subject also integrates elements of digital technologies such as CAD (Computer Aided Design), and laser printing project designs as well as basic woodwork which utilises framing joints.
