Subject Description

The Art of Performance 

Within the study of Drama, students will deepen their understanding of role, character, and relationships through various acting techniques and performance strategies, encompassing both comedic and dramatic forms.

By exploring a broad range of drama styles, students will gain a comprehensive appreciation for the Performing Arts. Students will build on their understanding of the technical aspects of theatre, such as lighting, sound and projections, understanding how these elements enhance a performance. This holistic approach gives students with a well-rounded skill set, fostering creativity and technical proficiency.

While there are no set pre-requisites, students should have a passion for performance and a willingness to work as part of a team which is essential due to this course involving working in small groups as an ensemble.
