Subject Description

Global Perspectives is an interdisciplinary approach of Australian Curriculum and Catholic Crossways Curriculum subjects, comprising of English, History, Geography, and Religious Education, which includes the Made In The Image Of God (MITIOG) Human Sexuality and Respectful Relationships Curriculum.

Students learn about different identities and perspectives to become thriving individuals, capable learners, and leaders for the world God desires.

In Religious Education, students engage in dialogue and reflection and understand their value and role as active global citizens. They create meaningful connections with the life of the Church through Scripture, the history of the Church, and its traditions.

English focuses on developing skills in listening, reading, viewing, speaking, writing, and creating. Through engagement with a range of texts in different genres and from different cultural contexts, students will respond and communicate through oral, written, and multi-modal forms.

Humanities and Social Sciences provides a broad understanding of the world and fosters active, informed citizenship. Through studying historical and modern societies, students develop self-awareness, global leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills.
