Bringing the Stage to Life
Within the study of Drama, students will deepen their understanding of role, character, and relationship by using voice and movement to develop their characterisation skills. They will examine the dramatic forms and production elements that shape a performance, utilising their skills to explore situation, focus, tension, space and time. By viewing and reflecting on filmed theatre productions, students will gain insights into performance techniques.
Students will also explore technical aspects of theatre, such as lighting, sound, and projections, learning how these elements enhance a performance. Students will have opportunities to showcase their talents in both informal and formal settings, thereby boosting their confidence and communication skills.
In Drama there are both practical and theoretical assessments.
