Subject Description

Art for Ants

Students will work throughout the semester on a series of artworks all in miniature scale. They will draw, paint, sculpt and present their artworks in miniature art galleries. Students will
explore art in context, develop technical skills and create refined art works to exhibit.

Content
  • Students will understand how artists create artwork on a miniature scale using different elements
  • Students will develop technical skills across different mediums
  • Students will exhibit art works with frames and other gallery accessories, with the understanding developed from analysing different galleries
Assessment
  • Investigation of the Tiny Art movement
  • Create tiny 2D and 3D artworks and complete practitioner’s statements
  • Build frames, easels, and plinths to display artworks
