Shining In The Classroom |
The Year 2 students have been involved in interactive education sessions with local beekeepers, Natasha and Damien Srpcic from Pine Ridge Honey. They have been learning about the amazing world of bees, their importance to the environment and their vital role in food production. Students have designed and created bee habitats and bee hotels based on STEM principles, which cater for the survival of a bee colony. Another highlight was designing honey jar labels which were printed and stuck onto jars filled with locally produced Pine Ridge honey.
