Mothers Day Liturgy

Thank you to the mothers, grandmas, godmothers, aunties, big sisters and all those who provide motherly care to our students and were able to attend the Mother’s Day Liturgy and morning tea in the staffroom last Friday. Once again the Sugarloaf Café and Hospitality students ensured that the event was well catered.

Thanks to all who attended the Reach Out and Relax Mother’s Day evening. It was a great night of meeting new people and catching up with old acquaintances. Many thanks to Lachy and Taryn Mutton and staff at 5290 Function Centre for hosting such a fun night. We hope all mothers had an enjoyable Mother’s Day.

We are delighted to be welcoming one of Australia’s greatest ever soccer exports, Harry Kewell, to the College in June.

Harry will be our guest of honour at the gala event, ‘A Night of Inspiration with Harry Kewell’ in the Barrie Holmes Stadium on Saturday 3 June. We invite you to join us on this evening to hear from Harry himself on what it takes to reach the very top and become an elite sports athlete. Tickets to the event are $45 each and include a two course meal. A fully licenced bar will be available on the night, as well as various giveaways and entertainment.

This year the National Simultaneous Story Time takes place on Wednesday 24 May at 9:00am in the Barrie Holmes Stadium for Early Learning to Year 5. We would love it if parents, carers or special friends join us in this fun event.

The Tenison Woods College 2016 Runner Up State Championship Football Team have had a great start to the 2017 season, defeating Mount Gambier High School in a physical match on Wednesday 10 May at North Gambier Football Oval.

After being drafted to the SANFL Women’s Under 18 Side, Year 12 student Olivia Fuller has played two games in a Tri-Series round as part of the NAB AFL Women’s Under-18 Championships.

On Thursday 25 May Aquinas Residential College and The University of Adelaide will be at the College Lecture Theatre from 6:00pm-7:00pm for a presentation evening.

The Middle School Social Justice Leaders invite all students to buy a book from our 2017 Vinnies Book Sale. Money raised will help buy food and warm bedding and clothing for local families in need this winter.

Books will be $1 or $2 and suitable for all ages. The sale will be Wednesday 24 May, at lunchtime next week under the Sails.
