Palm Sunday – Family Mass

The 11:00am Mass this Sunday will be a Family Mass marking the start of Holy Week. Mass will begin outside of the church with a procession into the Church with branches and music symbolising Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem during the days prior to his death.

We would love to see a large number of our Tenison Woods College families at this Mass. The timetable for Masses for the remainder of Holy Week and Easter can be found here.

Caritas K’s and Casuals for Compassion

Tomorrow, 11 April is Casual day and our Whole School “Caritas K’s Walk for Compassion”. Students will need to bring in a Gold Coin donation for Project Compassion. Many thanks to those who have also shared their fundraising page and contributed to the College raising over $3,000 to help change the lives of those being assisted by Caritas.

The link will be open until the end of this week for anyone wishing to make a donation.

Distributing Eggs

Please keep in mind as we approach the Easter season that we are in Lent or Holy Week until Easter Sunday. Themes during this time are PRAYER, FASTING AND GIVING. On Easter Sunday we move into the joyful season of Easter which is 50 days of CELEBRATING.

The giving of Easter Eggs is discouraged until Easter when we celebrate the Resurrection of Christ. When considered in light of the school year, this means we would encourage students who would like to give something to their friends at school, to do so after the Easter break rather than before.

Project Compassion Boxes

As we approach Easter and Project Compassion draws to a close, we thank all staff, students and families who have given generously to this appeal for Caritas through fundraising at school, in classes or in homes.

Project Compassion boxes are to be returned to the College by the end of this week or to the Church or Parish Office over Easter.

Anyone wishing to donate what is in their Project Compassion box electronically, is encouraged to go to the Tenison Woods College page on the Caritas fundraising page
