We welcomed the Life Changer Team; Scott Watters, Wendy Brown, Trent Dennis-Lane and Nathan Hayes to our College community on Monday. These wonderful people, together with some very supportive community mentors, worked with our Year 8 students on Monday, the first of five sessions that will be held over this semester with the Year 8 students.
Life Changer identifies and develops inspiring mentors within communities and delivers holistic self-development workshops for teens, creating and sustaining safe and resilient communities.
The Year 8 ‘Awakening the Hero Within’ Program is the result of a partnership with Life Changer that forms a deliberate dimension of our wellbeing and resilience approach with our young this year. I encourage families to ask their adolescents about their wrist band that they are wearing, and what sort of hero they have identified themselves as.
