With the celebration of Library Lovers Day last Wednesday, students showed their love for the library so much that we continued with activities all week, Our wonderful staff ran Shadow Puppet sessions with classes from the Early Learning Centre to Year 7 which everyone enjoyed and it was interesting using some “older” technology (an overhead projector) which we still had stored in our workroom.
Groups of 2-3 students had a “mad” 3 minutes to use a selection of shadow puppets to create a story of their own. This was also available before school and during recess and lunch and it was an activity that proved a hit with everyone.
The entries for our competition to make your own shadow box and puppets based on a favourite book have come in thick and fast and library staff will have a difficult time selecting the winners!
