Jared Kuhl, Hamish Case (Captain), Nick Yates, Tom Lawrence, Jack Lawrence, Sam Domaschenz and Mitchell Cornolo recently represented the Lower South East in SAPSASA cricket in Adelaide. In their first game against Port Adelaide, the boys won the toss and elected to bowl. Excellent bowling and fielding by all kept Port’s run rate slow. Sam Domaschenz was the first to take a wicket followed shortly by Jared Kuhl. Nick Yates bowled an impressive 2/5 and Port were all out for 123.
Opening batter Jared Kuhl got the boys off to a great start with the bat making 40 runs before retiring. Hamish Case made 11 and Mitchell Cornolo 14 and in a close finish Tom Lawrence scored the winning runs for the boys to win by 4.
With Tuesday and Wednesday games cancelled due to weather conditions no final series was able to be played. In a scratch match on Thursday the boys played Southern Yorke Peninsula whom where too strong with the bat making a hard to chase 190 runs. Jack Lawrence and Hamish Case both claimed 3 wickets each in this game but the boys were unable to make the run rate required with the bat, Southern Yorke talking all 10 wickets.
