The Year 8/9 Middle School Council have been most impressed with their enthusiasm and growth in their leadership abilities and what they have achieved this year. Every Thursday during home group we have met to plan, what we the Middle School council can support, campaign or raise money for, or what improvements they would like to see in the college.
This year the students have attended a GRIP leadership training day, raised awareness for RUOK day, celebrated Harmony Day and NADIOC week and raised around $1000 for Charity Day and Save the children by running many different activities, making and selling food. They also met together researching, planning, working with key stakeholders and other student leaders to create a survey to hopefully see more healthier options in the school canteen. They have spoken many times at MS combined home group, given a thank you speech to the Year 12 students, have been ushers at the Senior School awards and Student leaders for the Year 8 orientation days.
