Tenison’s Got Talent is a talent show targeted at the younger students of Tenison Woods College, with students from reception to Year 5 showcasing their talents through performances in front of their peers in the Junior School. Its purpose is to allow students to display their talents, ranging from dancing and singing to playing a musical instrument and performing magic. Acts of any kind are allowed, whether solo or group performances. The auditions for this year’s round of Tenison's Got Talent have begun, with the following audtions left for this week, to be held at lunchtime in the multi-purpose room.
During the audition process of the highly anticipated event, hundreds of kids aged 5-11 will try their best to land a spot performing at the talent show. Despite a strong turn out and therefore lengthy audition process, only a handful of acts will be chosen to go through to the live show held on Monday of Week 9.
The students in the selected acts then have volunteer mentors that guide them to put together their performance and practice it. After their weeks of hard work, the students get to perform their act and display their dedication and diligence to their peers, teachers and families.
