Year 9 Tenison Woods College student Lucy Denton has just returned from the School Girls Netball Under 15 Championships, held in Werribee, Victoria. She and the team were successful in winning gold after the week-long event!
The South Australian girls had a terrific tournament, finishing the week with an impressive 8-1 record and the Gold medal win against New South Wales. “I was very happy to make the team as I’m a bottom-age player. That means I could play next year if I wanted to as well”, Lucy explained.
Lucy looked back on the professional coaching she received and said it allowed her to work on her skills against the best girls in her age group from around Australia. After her success Lucy will now continue to work on her netball skills as she aspires to make great leaps in her netball career.
Congratulations to Lucy and the rest of the South Australian girls on a great achievement.
