The children in the Early Learning Centre Kindergarten have been given the opportunity to engage in dramatic play. The children have created a Hospital where they can use items such as syringes, bandages, dressing packs, cotton balls and tweezers to assist their ‘patient’s’ in getting better. The MacKillop Room Hospital has Doctors, Nurses, Patients, Radiographers, Optometrists, Pharmacists and Paramedics. The children have also created an Ambulance from recycled boxes with lights, a bed, cardiac monitor and oxygen mask for their emergencies. Dramatic play allows children to explore aspects of identity through role play.
