2019 Year 8-12 Pathways Expo and Subject Selection Information Evening

The Subject Counselling process for the Middle and Senior School will begin August 7 with the 2019 Year 8 - 12 Pathways Expo and Subject Selection Information Evening. The Expo will complement the Subject Selection Information sessions for 2019 Year 8 & 9 students and 2019 Years 10, 11 and 12 students. 

The purpose of the Pathways Expo is to assist students and parents to gather information regarding subjects that are offered at Tenison Woods College and to assist students to make informed decisions regarding their subject choices, learning and future pathway options. To support students the Expo will offer subject information booths which will provide information in relation to:

  • students regarding subject offerings; 
  • pathways with in a subject areas;
  • skills which can be developed in subjects;
  • pathways post schooling;
  • tertiary and TAFE education options;
  • samples of student work;
  • Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) approach 2019

The Pathways Expo will be held downstairs in the Pam Ronan Centre and the information sessions will be held upstairs. The Expo and information sessions will be highly beneficial in assisting students to make informed decisions about their learning and subject selections; consequently, we strongly encourage all 2019 students and their parents to attend the Expo and information sessions.

The Pathways Expo and Subject Selection Information Sessions schedule will be as follows:

5.45pm                                  Subject booths open
6.00pm – 6.45pm                  2019 Year 8/9 Subject Selection Information Session
7.00pm – 7.45pm                  2019 Year 10/11 Subject Selection Information Session
8.00pm – 8.45pm                  2019 Year 12 Subject Selection Information Session
Subject booths close at 8.15pm

Students and families are welcome to attend the subject booths, subject booths will be manned until 8:15pm and we invite families to visit the booths. The Sugarloaf Café will be open for light snacks and refreshments throughout the evening and will also be selling lasagne take-home packs, which will need to be pre-ordered. A notification with an order form has been sent out via Skoolbag earlier this week.
