Founders Week
Today, we continued celebrating Founder's Week with a shared recess for Champagnat and a shared lunch for Woods. We will come together as a College community tomorrow (Thrusday 14 June) with the Whole School Mass at 9:00am, in the Barrie Holmes Stadium. All parents, grandparents and friends of the College community are welcome to attend.
On Friday 15 June students have the opportunity to attend a house-level celebration at either recess or lunchtime. There will be a shared Recess for MacKillop and a shared lunch for McAuley.
Soup for Timor
Please support our College students taking part in the Timor-Leste Immersion trip by purchasing some soup after mass this weekend! The students will be selling soup after both masses - Saturday 6:00pm and Sunday 11:00am. The group will also receive a blessing on Sunday during the mass. As their departure date approaches we ask you to continue to keep the group in your prayers as they prepare to visit communities around Timor-Leste.
Year 8 Retreat
In Week 8, on Wednesday 20 June, our Year 8 students will spend the day at Casadio Park for the Year 8 Retreat. As this retreat also falls in ‘Refugee Week’, students will connect the theme of empathy to ways in which we can create a place of welcome and inclusion for all. We look forward to this day of activity and reflection.
Weekend Retreat at Robe
We are excited to announce that there will be a Weekend Retreat held for any students in Year 8-12 from 3-5 August. This is for anyone who thinks they might enjoy a weekend away in Robe to recharge their batteries. The time can be used to focus on what is important in life and spend some time discussing and reflecting on the issues of life with other young people as well as walking on the beach and other fun activities. Students who would like more information are asked to collect a note from their homegroup teacher, or parents can contact Michelle Coote for an expression of interest form.
Family Mass
There is a Family Mass this Sunday at 11:00am. If your child would like to be involved with the singing or reading please contact Rebecca Higgins at Tenison Woods College or Cisca Teodoro.
Sacrament Information
The Family Retreat day for Sacrament families will be held this Sunday 17 June, following the Family Mass. The Retreat will be from 12:30pm to 4:30pm at St Paul’s Hall.
The Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation will be held on 23 and 24 June.
