National walk safety to school day took place on Friday 18 May and a group of Tenison Woods College students, staff and parents took the opportunity to walk to school as a group! Meeting at the Wehl Street side of the Railway Lands, the group walked to school via the railway walking track, which leads to White Avenue.
Walk to school day is an annual event that encourages all students to walk and commute safely to school. The event promotes road safety, health and the environment. It was pleasing to see the range of students who walked to school on the day. We look forward to continuing this tradition each year and we encourage all local students to consider walking to school now and then.
