A group of Year 9 students attended an Earth Science excursion on Tuesday 20 March as part of the Year 9 Science Curriculum Disasters Class.
Places visited were the Blue Lake Pumping Station, Umpherston Sinkhole and the Cave Gardens. Time was spent examining features of the local geology at various stops along the way, basing the tour on the study of earthquakes and volcanoes. Student also visited The Main Corner to view the film ‘Volcano’. Lots was learnt and the day was enjoyed by all Students.
