Sixty campers and staff have returned from a fantastic Music Camp at the Karnkendi Campsite in Nelson. Over the 3-day camp, students were inspired and invigorated to learn all they can about music.
The focus this year was on increasing musical skills and teamwork. Music Captains Baie Perryman and Georgia Mustey chose this year’s theme of ‘Harry Potter’ and created activities, competitions, quiz nights and games around this theme for the eight teams. A highlight for the students was the Quidditch tournament!
The student’s musical learning was displayed at two concerts - one at the campsite for parents and families and the second at the Mary MacKillop Memorial School in Penola. Congratulations to all students and staff who were excellent ambassadors for the music team and the College.
While on camp, teachers elect Music Leaders for the College ensembles. The students chosen this year display leadership skills, concentration in rehearsals, commitment and teamwork. Congratulations to the following ensemble leaders;
