The Reception – Year 2 Sports Day was held on Friday 9 March 2018 on the College oval. The day started with a march in house colours across the oval and into the gym where the junior house leaders led Reception – Year 2 students in a health hustle. Once that was done, students then moved out to the oval and played a number of circuit games leading up to recess.
After recess there were three events – 60m sprint, baton relay and an obstacle course. House leaders finished the sports day with a chant they had created for their team. The day ended at 12.00pm, followed by a family BBQ.
Thank you to all parents and other family members who came out to support the Reception to Year 2 students on the day; the high number of family members really helped create a great atmosphere. The younger students also love having family members there watching and supporting them. It was a fantastic day, full of fun! Also special thanks to both the junior and senior house leaders who put in a great deal of work setting up, helping with game activities, cooking a BBQ and packing up. Looking forward to our next big sports day, the Year 3-7 Sports Day on Friday 6 April at Marist Park.
