Homestay Families Needed

30.05.17

The Homestay Program at Tenison Woods College is a very successful program which has been running since 2001. In that time, we have had families from Mount Gambier, Penola and Millicent who have enjoyed the experience of hosting a student from Overseas.

In 2017 Tenison Woods College is looking for suitable homestay families to host international students. Suitable families range from families with younger children, families with teenage children, a single person or an older couple/family with no children.

At present we have both short term and long term international students looking for Homestay.

SHORT TERM INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Short term international students are students that participate in international cultural visits and exchange programs usually lasting from 2 – 3 weeks.

LONG TERM INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Long term international students are full time homestay, usually from end of January through to the end of the school year. International students would be a welcome addition to a wide variety of family situations. From past experiences, international students have settled into life in Australia living with an Australian family very easily. The students enjoy our easy going way of life. International students pay $230 per week for accommodation and meals.

If you are interested in hosting a student from overseas (either short term or long term), or you know of anyone who may be interested in hosting a student please contact Annie Clifford, International Student Coordinator/Homestay Coordinator for more information.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
