The biannual Tenison Woods College USA tour auction was held in the Barrie Holmes Stadium on Friday 19 May, with 350 people in attendance. The event is a major fundraiser to support students in their participation in the very popular basketball tour of the USA and this year was an enormous success. The Barrie Holmes Stadium was splashed in red, white and blue and was the ideal setting for a night of fun socialising and fundraising for families and friends within our community. Titans Players waited on tables, serving a main meal and dessert, provided by the Sugarloaf Café.
The night was well supported by families and the wider school community. A special thanks must go to our Auctioneer, Mr Ben Jones from O’Connor and Graney, who did an amazing job in running the night and seeking out the bids. We sincerely thank all that purchased a ticket or item, organised donations, or volunteered their time. The overwhelming generosity of the local business community contributed enormously to the atmosphere and anticipation of a great purchase! The night raised approx. $27,000 which is a great result.
