The Reception to Year 2 Sports Day was held on Friday 10 March. The day started with a march in house colours across the oval and into the gym where the house leaders led the junior school in a health hustle. We then moved out on to the oval and played a number of circuit games leading up until recess.
After recess there were three events – 60m sprint, baton relay and an obstacle course. House leaders finished the sports day with a chant they had created for their team.
The sports day finished up at 12:00pm followed by a family BBQ. Thanks to all parents and other family members who came out to support the R - 2 students on the day, the high number of family members really helped create a great atmosphere. The younger students also love having family members there watching and supporting them.
Also special thanks to the Year 4, 5, 6 and 7 house leaders who did a great deal of work setting up, helping and packing up. Looking forward to our next big sports day – the 3 - 7 Sports Day on Friday 31 March held at Marist Park.
